PRINCIPAL

Is responsible for ensuring sufficient resources are allocated to people development across all organisations.

Review with the Principal their professional development plans for staff.

Leads the strategic vision and provides professional support for professional development, training, induction, talent development and succession planning across the whole group.

Designs, develops, commissions and delivers professional development programmes including Principals induction.

Receives professional development and training summary reports from the Principal in order to ensure the LGB is fully aware of the Academy’s activity in this area and can support and challenge appropriately.

Ensures induction and probation are highly effective for all staff.Develops and implements the academy’s strategy for professional development.

Develops and implements the academy’s strategy for professional development.

Designs, develops, commissions and delivers professional development programmes at academy level.

Contributes to the Trust wide professional development and networks programme.

Has a clear plan for succession planning for all key posts.

Ensures the academy is engrossed in talent management and supporting the teaching school alliance and SCITT.

Provide regular reports to the LGB.
